News Round-up 8/18
Posted by RNS Robot on August 18th, 2009*MuteMath’s sophomore release Armistice is out… today! In Canada, HMV and Future Shop are carrying it. 2/$25 at HMV, $9.99 at Future Shop temporarily.
*Did you know Marcy Playground have a new album out? No? NEITHER DID I. But now I do, which means SO DO YOU. Marcy Playground is a vastly underrated modern rock group with great material well beyond their hit “Sex & Candy.” Check out Leaving Wonderland… in a fit of rage.
*Ryan Dahle (Limblifter/Age of Electric/Matthew Good) drops his first solo album Irrational Anthems next Tuesday, August 25th (in Canada at least). The three songs on his myspace are kick-ass.
*The Infinite Order is Living Sacrifice’s first album since 2003 and will hit November 23rd, 2009. And here I’d heard the title was going to be “In Your Face, Devil!” Phew! Read the press release at HMmag.com
*Thrice’s Beggars is available now on iTunes, with a physical release coming September 15th. The released date was moved up due to the album leaking early. Please don’t be a dickhead, buy the album. Unless you like, hate Thrice. Then you know, don’t. But if you like Thrice, BUY THE DAMN ALBUM. They’re on tour, too!
